Allure Hair Salon
Project Overview
Allure Hair Salon needed a complete brand identity for a sophisticated salon in Paphos, Cyprus, one that could appeal to both the local community and international tourists as high end yet approachable. In our first meeting, a clear brief emerged: the palette needed to reflect the salon's own interior so the identity felt like a natural extension of the space.
Creative Direction
Walking through the space, the salon's arched, curved mirrors stood out as the most distinctive feature, so I made them the anchor of the identity. The primary logo, a serif wordmark paired with a monogram A inside an arched, capsule shaped outline, echoes that curve and is refined enough for exterior signage. For social media, I developed a separate logomark drawn more explicitly from the mirror's arch. The palette pulls from the warm neutrals of the walls and furniture and the natural tones of hair colour, from platinum through to near black, with charcoal and white for contrast. Typography paired an elegant serif for headings with Objektiv Mk2 for body text and a script accent throughout.
Process
After the initial direction was set, I built the full identity system (logo, palette, typography and business cards) then extended it into applied pieces. The price list was cut into the same arch shape as the salon's mirrors, with services laid out bilingually in Greek and English. For social content, I visited the salon in person to shoot video and photos on site, building a library of real material rather than relying on stock imagery.
Outcome
The result is a cohesive identity that feels grown out of the salon's own interior rather than layered onto it, from the logo to the shaped price list to the social content shot on location. The brand reads as premium and destination worthy while staying warm enough for a client walking in off the street.
